Design Story

The Stardust series is inspired by the star chart painted on the ceiling of the Kitora Tomb, said to be one of the world’s oldest celestial charts, where the stars are expressed in gold leaf. Hakuichi reinterprets that elegant celestial beauty with craftsmanship and a modern design concept.

Each piece is finished by artisans using a traditional scattering technique, creating a unique starry sky that is never exactly the same as another.
